Can the crowbar open any door if you type 2 in the OCB?

I don't think you can open any door, especially the ones that open vertically. So far I could open the iron gates (both of them) from Coastal and the Bes door in Cleop.
I think that to find out, you just have to give it a try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that Core uses generic object for doors, switches, etc only changing the texture. I tried to open doors with switches or crowbar, or use holes as buttons and viceversa. So unless the door you choose has a special feature (ie KICK_DOOR), or as jbc21 said, opens in a different way, everything should go right.
